San Diego Canyonlands partnered with San Diego Coastkeeper to create virtual field trips paired with science lessons for students, teachers, and parents navigating the new normal of remote learning. We know that staying and learning from home certainly has its challenges, so we are here to help. Each video, listed by grade level below, takes you on a virtual hike through one of our urban canyons. Throughout the virtual hike, our Outreach Program Manager and nature lover Kindra Hixon will guide you through a remote lesson in the field. The videos can be watched on their own or paired with lessons provided by San Diego Coastkeeper. All lessons follow Next Generation Science Standards. To explore the lessons paired with the hikes, check out San Diego Coastkeeper’s education page here.
