The ECO Initiative aims to provide comprehensive paid green job training for individuals coming from historically underserved populations, including justice-impacted individuals, those currently homeless or at risk of experiencing homelessness, and opportunity youth. Creating meaningful professional development opportunities locally and supporting underserved and underrepresented communities
ECO participants train for 255 hours in:
Habitat restoration techniques
Proper tool usage + maintenance
Identification of native and invasive species
Job readiness

Coordinated Network
Canyonlands ECO program provides individuals with living wage stipend, consistent work hours, on the job training, professional and community interaction opportunities, and daily lunch for field intensive workdays, allowing participants to re-enter the workforce with a regained confidence in themselves and others.
We do this through a coordinated network of agency partners, sponsors, and corporate collaborators.
