The vision of honoring our canyons by declaring them collectively as the “San Diego Canyonlands Park” is moving forward.  This year, with $50,000 from The San Diego Foundation, SDCL established a Canyon Enhancement Planning Committee with a team of professional landscape architects, visionary urban designers, and key city staff. In addition to mapping city-owned lands for inclusion in the Canyonlands Park, this team is creating a Canyon Enhancement Planning Guide that will be a resource to cut cost and red tape for comprehensive canyon restoration and enhancement plans.
