| Description: | Volunteer alongside 5,000 others to preserve San Diego's natural heritage. Take pride in San Diego's treasured outdoor areas at over 65 cleanup sites countywide. The following San Diego Canyonlands sites are participating in this day of environmental stewardship. City Heights – 47th Street Canyon Meeting Point: 46th Street and Myrtle Ave, San Diego 92105 Directions: From I-5 south, merge onto CA-94 East. Take the CA-15 North exit on the LEFT toward I-805 North. Take the University Ave exit toward City Heights/Transit Plaza. Keep right at the fork and follow signs for University Ave E. Turn right at University Ave. Turn right at Fairmount Ave. Turn Left at Myrtle Ave, and follow until the road dead ends at 46th Street at the canyon. City Heights – Manzanita Cooper Canyon Meeting Point: 42nd Street and Thorn Street Directions: From I-15 S, exit University Ave and turn left to merge onto University Ave. Turn right onto Marlborough Ave. Left onto Thorn Street. End at 42nd and Thorn St, San Diego 92105. City Heights – Manzanita Canyon Meeting Point: 4152 Manzanita Dr, San Diego, CA 92105 Directions: From I-15N, merge onto I-805 North. Exit University Ave toward City Heights/Transit Plaza. Keep right at the fork and follow signs for University Ave E. Turn right at University Ave. Turn Right at Fairmount Ave. Turn Right at Poplar St. Turn Right on Heather. Turn Left on Manzanita Dr. City Heights – North Swan Canyon Meeting Point: Meet at the corner of Redwood St. and 44th St, San Diego 92105 Directions: From I-805, exit Home Ave. Go North on Fairmont Ave. Turn Right (East) onto Redwood Street, and meet at the corner of Redwood St. and 44th St. Chollas Creek at 47th Street Meeting Point: Meet at the main entrance gate near the end of 47th Street. Directions: From I-805: Take Home Ave. exit and turn left onto Home Ave. Turn right onto Fairmount Ave. Turn left on 47th St. Meet at the entrance gate near the end of 47th St. Clairemont – Stevenson Canyon Meeting Point: 3400 block of Idlewild Way, San Diego 92117 Directions: From Clairemont Mesa Blvd., go south on Moraga, then left (east) on Idlewild. Mission Gorge – Rancho Mission Canyon Meeting Point: Rancho Mission Canyon Community Park on the East side of Margerum Ave, San Diego, 92120 Directions: From I-15, go East on Friars Rd. Friars Rd becomes Mission Gorge Rd; turn right on Margerum Ave. about ¼ mile to Rancho Mission Canyon Park. The parking lot is on left side of the street. Mission Hills – Albatross Canyon Meeting Point: 3855 block of Brant Street, San Diego, CA 92103 Directions: From CA-163 South, exit University Ave. Turn slight right onto 6th Ave. Turn right onto University Ave. Turn left onto Brant Street. The meeting point will be close to this address, at the top of the driveway hill, by the "Not a Through Street" sign. Mission Hills – Goldfinch Canyon Meeting Point: West Lewis Street and Falcon Street, San Diego 92103 Directions: From CA-163 south, exit Washington St West. Merge onto Washington Street and turn Right on Falcon St. Normal Heights Canyon Meeting Point: Meet at the canyon fence directly across from 3110 Camino Del Rio South. Parking is available on the north side of Camino Del Rio South. **Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and long pants. Directions: Take I-8 to Qualcomm Way/Texas Street. Take the Texas Street ramp and go Right onto Texas. Make a Left onto Camino Del Rio South. Serra Mesa – Ruffin Canyon Meeting Point: Meet at the corner of Gramercy Dr. and Ruffin Rd, San Diego 92123 Directions: From I-8 East, merge onto CA-163 North and keep right at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto Friar's Rd. Take the Mission Village Dr. ramp. Turn left onto Mission Village Dr. End at Gramercy Dr and Ruffin Rd. Sorrento Mesa – Sorrento Creek Meeting Point: 11075 Roselle St, San Diego 92121. Volunteers will meet behind the Genzyme Building Directions: Take I-5, exit Sorrento Valley Road. From the 5 north you would make a Left onto Roselle from the Sorrento Valley Road exit. Continue to 11075. South Park – Juniper Canyon Meeting Point: Laurel Street and Felton Street, San Diego 92104 Directions: From I-5 south, exit Pershing Drive. Turn right on Redwood St. Turn right on 32nd St. Turn left on Laurel Street. Tools, gloves and refreshments will be provided! Bring your own drinking water.
